Don’t hire Uncle Joe to cut the lawn at your Post Office.
You can’t hire your relative or the relative of a postal employee for cleaning, lawn care, snow removal or maintenance contracts.
The Postal Service doesn’t enter in to contracts with postal employees or their family members. Refer to the Postal Service’s Supplying Principles and Practices and the Administrative Support Manual.
When you don’t award a local buy contract to your family member, you maintain the integrity and reputation of the Postal Service as a fair and honest organization.
Postal Service employees may accept reduced membership or other fees offered to all federal government employees if the only restriction relates to professional qualifications.
Accepting a discount offered to all federal government employees rather than only to you as a postal employee maintains the Postal Service’s reputation that our employees can’t be bribed to obtain a business advantage.
And that’s smart business.

Take precautions to prevent falls from loading docks. Walk, don’t run. Don’t fool around or push someone, even as a joke. Stay away from loading dock edges. Don’t jump onto or off a loading dock.
