Gifts Between Employees
Your Pay Matters, Sometimes
Generally, an employee may not give a gift to a higher-paid employee.
However, if your subordinate employee makes more or less money than you, you may still give your subordinate employee a gift of any amount on any occasion.
Gifts to subordinates, regardless of pay, are always ok, but remember to avoid favoritism or the appearance of favoritism.
And that’s smart business.
