A Postal Service employee may not use her Postal Service position, title, or authority to endorse any product, service, or enterprise.
For example, you cannot provide a testimonial to a vendor with your opinion about the quality of the vendor’s products.
Unauthorized endorsements violate the ethics regulations, and can damage our business relationships.

Obtaining the PMG’s authorization for an endorsement keeps you on the right side of the law.

And that’s always smart business.

Don’t overlook the overload.

How many times have you seen a surge protector that’s been overloaded or even has another surge protector or extension cord plugged into it? This is called daisy chaining and increases the potential for creating a short in the outlet and causing a fire.

Eliminating daisy chains will help prevent fires caused by overloaded electrical outlets.

Some accidents happen for a reason.

While an employee may not be at fault, it could very well be a failure of a procedure or an uninspected piece of equipment. Creating an environment where everyone is invested in safety is the best way to prevent workplace hazards.

By making equipment and vehicle checks a part of the daily routine and conducting regular inspections of the work area for often-overlooked hazards, you can help reduce potential accidents and injuries to employees.
