Cellphones and driving

Using a cellphone while driving — whether hands-free or handheld — is dangerous. Break the habit. Schedule calls for times when you’re not driving. Tell people not to call you when you’re at the wheel. If a ringing phone is too tempting, mute it or put it in the glove box before you turn the key.

Consider using call blocking technology when driving. Or just turn off the phone.

Not being distracted by a cellphone allows you to concentrate on driving.

Hand washing techniques

Prevent the spread of disease by washing your hands frequently or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. There’s a technique to proper hand washing. Wet your hands with clean running water and apply soap. Lather and scrub well for at least 20 seconds. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Clean hands can help keep you healthier and prevent you from spreading germs to others.
