Employees Deserve the Right Pay at the Right Time

Employees deserve the right pay at the right time.
Everyone shares responsibility for making it happen. Update records to reflect personnel actions such as hiring or promotions.
Enter information correctly in the Time and Attendance Collection System. Employees should swipe their time badges, record their time, and submit all appropriate forms promptly.
Delays in personnel action notifications or recording time and leave can result in employees not being paid correctly. This causes additional work to make it right through salary advances and adjustments.

Making sure employees get paid accurately and on time saves the extra work and expense of fixing mistakes.

You’re responsible for proper use of your SmartPay2 purchase card. Electronically reconcile and dispute any improper charges. Follow local buying policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate and complete records of all purchase card transactions for three years.
Supporting documentation must provide a clear audit trail to ensure proper use of postal funds and to resolve any disputed charges.

Regardless of whether you’re new to the Postal Service or a longtime employee, frequent safety training is key to keeping your workplace accident and injury free. Training ensures employees are knowledgeable about safety policies and procedures. It also demonstrates management’s commitment to providing a safe work environment.

The Learning Management System provides training on a wide range of safety-related topics. You can access the LMS under the MyHR tab on the Blue intranet.

Make PPE a priority.

Personal protective equipment — PPE — is crucial to reducing hazards and preventing injury.
Goggles and face protection protect eyes from flying particles, chemicals or caustic liquids. Gloves protect hands from cuts, scrapes, punctures, burns, chemical absorption or temperature extremes. Hard hats protect heads from falling objects. Safety shoes are a must for work areas where heavy objects could be dropped, injuring feet. Earmuffs or ear plugs protect against hearing damage caused by noisy workplaces.

Provide annual training so employees know how to use PPE and dispose of items properly.
