No Coercive CFC Activity

Encourage Support, Don’t Force It

  • If you’re a Postal Service supervisor or manager, you can’t solicit Combined Federal Campaign donations from your subordinate employees or employees in your chain of command. Also, don’t ask whether an employee participated or how much was donated.
  • This doesn’t prohibit supervisors or managers from performing the usual activities associated with the campaign kickoff. You can still show your support for the CFC in employee newsletters or other routine communications with employees.

CFC activity that encourages charitable donations without coercion results in a functional, stable work environment.

And that’s smart business.
