Paid Representations to the Postal Service or Federal Government
Accepting Compensation for Certain Outside Activities may be Costly
- A Postal Service employee is prohibited from seeking or accepting compensation to represent another in any matter in which the United States is a party or has a direct and substantial interest.
- For example, you cannot receive compensation for applying for a loan with the Small Business Administration on behalf of your limited liability company or a friend’s company.
When you refrain from making representations to the Postal Service or Federal government on behalf of others, your loyalty to your employer is not compromised – a smart business decision.
