Sell Somewhere Else

Commercial advertising, soliciting, and vending

Outside vendors may not sell or advertise their products on postal property without a valid contract with the Postal Service.

Employees are prohibited from engaging in sales activities on behalf of themselves or any other person while on duty, in uniform, or on postal property.

Even if the funds are being donated for a good cause, an employee cannot sell homemade items at work.

Selling commercial items on postal property can make employees feel coerced to make a purchase.

Use postal property for postal business only. That’s smart business.

Please contact the Ethics Office (ethics.help@usps.gov) for   more information about selling on postal property.
